Open Science
The University of the Aegean supports more and more systematically the Open Science and Open Access strategy (see Open Access Policy, https://www.lib.aegean.gr/el/politiki-anoihtis-prosvasis) by actively participating in the respective national actions through the development of partnerships with EESC (to which the Library of the Institution belongs – Library & Information Centre, https://www.lib.aegean.gr/).
On this basis, it develops joint initiatives with the other Universities of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA) and adopts the strategy of the Open Science Ambassador programme, as formulated in the framework of the project “Research and Engagement for the European Reform University Alliance” / Re:ERUA in order to promote the institutional development of Open Science in each University, support relevant actions and networking between the Universities of the Alliance in this field (Ambassador Strategic Concept)
For the University of the Aegean as Open Science Ambassador has been appointed Dr. Haris Alexopoulos, Assistant Professor at the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering (ICSD) (https://erua-eui.eu/open-science/open-science-ambassadors/)
