Innovative Joint Initiatives in Teaching and Learning “Post-Digital Institution Design: University as Institution”
In the context of the innovative, interdisciplinary pedagogical initiative, ERUA “Post-Digital Institution Design: University as Institution”, it is with great pleasure that the University of Aegean welcomes to its Syros campus, students, researchers, academics and teachers from the affiliated universities, Roskilde University (Denmark) and Université Paris 8 Vincennes-Saint-Denis (France) of the European Reform University Alliance (ERUA), for the launch of the joint educational action of the ERUA Alliance “Post Digital Institution Design: University as Institution”. The innovative initiative in teaching and learning aims to foster dialogue between students, researchers and teachers, with the aim of generating new ideas regarding the design of European universities in the digital age. The 1st workshop from the planned series of three collaborative workshops will take place in Syros, from Friday 7th October to Monday 10th October 2022, with the participation of 16 students of the ERUA Alliance. Five students from the University of Aegean and two further student teams from the universities of the ERUA Alliance will participate in the workshop under the guidance of the academic leaders of the project: Assistant Professor Modestos Stavrakis and permanent lecturer Sofia Kyratzi, of the Department of Products and Systems Design Engineering of the School of Engineering in Syros, Associate Professor Peter Busch-Jensen, Department of People and Technology, RUC University, Denmark, and Professor Khaldoun Zreik, Digital Humanities Department, University Paris 8, France.
During the four days of the workshop and the six different sessions, students will be invited to reflect on the redefinition of European universities and the role they have in the changing era of digitization and globalization.
