Protection and promotion of the medieval cultural heritage in the Aegean islands and Cyprus
UNESCO CHAIR on Digital Cultural Heritage at the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) which is one of the partners of DigiArc organised an online event on the “Protection and promotion of the medieval cultural heritage in the Aegean islands and Cyprus”. The event was held on 6 November 2020 and hosted acclaimed academics, researchers and representatives of organisations and agencies (https://interreg_digiarc.eventbrite.com).
The project partners for Greece are the Hellenic Ministry of Culture and Sports, the University of the Aegean and the Ephorate of Antiquities of Dodecanese and for Cyprus the Department of Antiquities of Cyprus and the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT).

The project DigiArc, which began in 2018 and will end in July 2021, consists part of the EU project INTERREG VA Greece – Cyprus and is funded by the EU (85% by the European Regional Development Fund) and state funds of Greece and Cyprus (15%).
